This Is Not My City

  1. Hey! My brother & I were at the open screening at EPFC last Thursday (we were sitting behind you guys, my brother screened the Blue Dildo film) and really loved you and your friend's film and your photography! We were gonna ask you if you had any page where we could see more of your work, after the screening ended, but we forgot... so we looked you up. I hope that's not too creepy hahah. Anyways, I felt the need to tell you that your work is really great! You have that rare ability to make even the most mundane things seem interesting, and some of your pictures I'd say even contain a sort of ethereal quality. I thought your film was very intelligently shot.

I also just saw this super 8 film and I really liked it! Nice choice in music too, by the way. Overall, I really think your work has a really nice allure to it and I really encourage you to keep doing this and never give it up, if you really love it! You've got great talent! :)

So yeah, I have a big tendency that, when I really really like someone's work (especially someone young and up-and-coming), I have to write to them and let them know how good they are! So, sorry if this seemed sort of bold or audacious or strange or whatever...

On another random note, I also thought you guys (what I assumed was your group of friends) were really cool! I always wished I had some friends like you guys in my high school, interested in those sort of things! That's really cool!

    Anyways, that's it.

    Take care! :D

    1. Wow, thank you!!
Yes, I remember the Blue Dildo film, it was hilarious. Unfortunately, this page is not as updated with my work as I wish it were, but I'm glad that you like what I have.
I'm really happy that you reached out to me (you're probably one of the few people that even looks at this blog, haha). Hopefully I'll see you again at the film center, and if not please keep in touch!

      :)

    2. Sure thing! :)
And I'm from Puerto Rico, so I won't be going back there for a while.. I can't exaggerate how much I wish I could go more to that film center! :( I really loved that place! The ambience of the place and the people, and all the posters on the walls, reminded me of this coffee shop I go to back home, which is sort of like my second house/family. I'm really going to miss it, even though I only went once; it's probably one of my favorite of all the places I visited in L.A!

However, I am moving to Los Angeles next year! So I'll most certainly visit it again then!

But yes! I would like to keep in touch! Do you have an email or facebook or somewhere I can reach you at?

    3. Yeah there really aren't many places like it. That's something to look forward to when you return to LA!
